I Kill You With My Bear Hands!

Photobucket

Make of this what you will, but I must say that I profoundly disagree with the attorney quoted at the beginning of this article. I think that they should have to worry about getting harassed because of the way they vote. Heeheehoho?

Yahoo Jan 9, 08

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Supporters of the ballot measure that banned gay marriage in California have filed a lawsuit seeking to block their campaign finance records from public view, saying the reports have led to the harassment of donors.
"No one should have to worry about getting a death threat because of the way he or she votes," said James Bopp Jr., an attorney representing two groups that supported Proposition 8, Protect
Marriage.com and the National Organization for Marriage California. "This lawsuit will protect the right of all people to help support causes they agree with, without having to worry about harassment or threats."
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in federal court in Sacramento, asks the court to order the secretary of state's office to remove all donations for the proposition from its Web site.
It also asks the court to relieve the two groups and "all similarly situated persons" from having to meet the state's campaign disclosure requirements. That would include having to file a final report on Proposition 8 contributions at the end of January, as well as reports for any future campaigns the groups undertake.
Proposition 8, approved by 52.3 percent of California voters on Nov. 4, reversed a state Supreme Court decision allowing gay marriage. The measure's opponents have asked the Supreme Court to overturn it.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday cites a series of incidents in which those who gave money to support Proposition 8 received threatening phone calls, e-mails and postcards. One woman claims she was told: "If I had a gun, I would have gunned you down along with each and every other supporter."

(LOL <-- that's me interupting this to LOL, sorry)

Another donor reported a broken window, one said a flier calling him a bigot was distributed around his hometown and others received envelopes containing suspicious white power, according to the lawsuit.
Businesses employing people who contributed to the Proposition 8 campaign have been threatened with boycotts, the suit said.
Supporters of the gay marriage ban fear the donor backlash will hurt their efforts to raise money in the future, perhaps to fight an initiative seeking to overturn the ban.
"Several donors have indicated that they will not contribute to committee plaintiffs or similar organizations in the future because of the threats and harassment directed at them as a result of their contributions ... and the public disclosure of that fact," the lawsuit said.

Twilo: Waiting at Rainbow Bridge

It thunderstormed all day yesterday.

I don't usually post about sad stuff but ... I had to put my cat Twilo down last night. It was time, he was starting to really suffer. I was hoping the vet would say something miraculous happened but he confirmed it was time.

He died with a modicum of dignity. He was in his own house with his mommy (me), first he was sedated in my arms with his face lying in my hands while he was given the final injection. I spoke softly to him even though I was blubbering. I read afterwards on http://petloss.com that you shouldn't cry so much because they worry for you.
Sometimes very loyal pets will not want to leave you and will have a hard time because you are suffering. Anyway, I told him I loved him a million times and that it was OK to go. I started telling him the day before that it was OK for him to go if he needed to and that I would be OK and all that. I just wish he wasn't so scared when it was going down. The look in his eyes when the vet took the death needles out of his bag, I went to feel his heart and it was thumping against my hand so fast. I made eye contact with him, and that calmed him a little, but he stared into my eyes so confused, scared, and sad. At that point, he knew, and that's what keeps playing over and over in my head. It's hard to deal with right now. I can't think straight, all I can do is cry every 10 minutes, I haven't slept, I keep hearing him around the house, my mind is racing back and forth all over the place, my chest hurts ... I hope I don't catch a fucking heart attack and end up joining him.

There's no easy way to put your pet down. It's awful, and it was out of sync with his age so I watched him waste away from a very muscular mini panther (wrecking the house) to a frail and weak little thing not capable of doing much of anything but still wanting to. Part of me is relieved he's not suffering any more. I just hope wherever he is right now, that he's not lonely or scared anymore. I just wish I knew where he was and could see that he got there safely.

I don't have digital pictures of him of when he was healthy but here is my special guy in his final days, I think I took this Tuesday from my cell.

Twilo ... my little prince, teacher of unconditional love, my heart. Mom thinks you're the most special kitty in heaven.

"...love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation."

(Kahlil Gibran)

This is the second time I've had to put a cat to sleep. As for myself, I will never, EVER, NEVER, have another pet again -- but I adopted Twilo from the Northshore Animal League in Long Island. They are an incredibly professional outfit. They REALLY love animals, they have beautiful animals, the place is immaculate and the staff is wonderful, I can't say enough about my experience adopting there.

Full Circle.

Rapists in the Ranks Los Angeles Times Op-Ed

Sexual assaults are frequent, and frequently ignored, in the armed services.
By Jane Harman
March 31, 2008

The stories are shocking in their simplicity and brutality: A female military recruit is pinned down at knifepoint and raped repeatedly in her own barracks. Her attackers hid their faces but she identified them by their uniforms; they were her fellow soldiers. During a routine gynecological exam, a female soldier is attacked and raped by her military physician. Yet another young soldier, still adapting to life in a war zone, is raped by her commanding officer. Afraid for her standing in her unit, she feels she has nowhere to turn.

These are true stories, and, sadly, not isolated incidents. Women serving in the U.S. military are more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire in Iraq.

The scope of the problem was brought into acute focus for me during a visit to the West Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center, where I met with female veterans and their doctors. My jaw dropped when the doctors told me that 41% of female veterans seen at the clinic say they were victims of sexual assault while in the military, and 29% report being raped during their military service. They spoke of their continued terror, feelings of helplessness and the downward spirals many of their lives have since taken.

Numbers reported by the Department of Defense show a sickening pattern. In 2006, 2,947 sexual assaults were reported -- 73% more than in 2004. The DOD's newest report, released this month, indicates that 2,688 reports were made in 2007, but a recent shift from calendar-year reporting to fiscal-year reporting makes comparisons with data from previous years much more difficult.

The Defense Department has made some efforts to manage this epidemic -- most notably in 2005, after the media received anonymous e-mail messages about sexual assaults at the Air Force Academy. The media scrutiny and congressional attention that followed led the DOD to create the Sexual Assault and Response Office. Since its inception, the office has initiated education and training programs, which have improved the reporting of cases of rapes and other sexual assaults. But more must be done to prevent attacks and to increase accountability.

At the heart of this crisis is an apparent inability or unwillingness to prosecute rapists in the ranks. According to DOD statistics, only 181 out of 2,212 subjects investigated for sexual assault in 2007, including 1,259 reports of rape, were referred to courts-martial, the equivalent of a criminal prosecution in the military. Another 218 were handled via nonpunitive administrative action or discharge, and 201 subjects were disciplined through "nonjudicial punishment," which means they may have been confined to quarters, assigned extra duty or received a similar slap on the wrist. In nearly half of the cases investigated, the chain of command took no action; more than a third of the time, that was because of "insufficient evidence."

This is in stark contrast to the civilian trend of prosecuting sexual assault. In California, for example, 44% of reported rapes result in arrests, and 64% of those who are arrested are prosecuted, according to the California Department of Justice.

The DOD must close this gap and remove the obstacles to effective investigation and prosecution. Failure to do so produces two harmful consequences: It deters victims from reporting, and it fails to deter offenders. The absence of rigorous prosecution perpetuates a culture tolerant of sexual assault -- an attitude that says "boys will be boys."

I have raised the issue with Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Although I believe that he is concerned, thus far, the military's response has been underwhelming -- and the apparent lack of urgency is inexcusable.

Congress is not doing much better. Although these sexual assault statistics are readily available, our oversight has failed to come to grips with the magnitude of the crisis. The abhorrent and graphic nature of the reports may make people uncomfortable, but that is no excuse for inaction. Congressional hearings are urgently needed to highlight the failure of existing policies. Most of our servicewomen and men are patriotic, courageous and hardworking people who embody the best of what it means to be an American. The failure to address military sexual assault runs counter to those ideals and shames us all.

Jane Harman (D-Venice) chairs the House Homeland Security subcommittee on intelligence.

MEMPHIS POLICE BEAT TRANSSEXUAL - CAUGHT ON TAPE

Hmmm ... wonder why none of the geniuses at the CNN-FOX-MSNBC fake cable news trifecta aren't covering this story? Not on the "websites" but television coverage that will take precious air time away from their aggenda. Any clues?

Mary Excerpts

Spontaneous multiples reading Mary Daly.

Because sharing is caring ...

- Self-depreciation on an organizational level is evident when women are deeply involved in liberal and even radical causes of all sorts except our own cause, even openly repudiating "independent" women's liberation.

The self-depreciation which inclines women individually and collectively to find every cause more important than our own is deeply connected with the myth of feminine evil. Women have been conditioned to see any act that affirms the worth of the female ego as blameworthy. Female ambition can "pass" only when it is diluted into the vicarious ambition through the male or on behalf of patriarchal values.

The beginning of liberation comes when women refuse to be "good" and/or "healthy" by prevailing standards. To be female is to be deviant by definition in the prevailing culture. To be female and defiant is to be intolerably deviant. This means going beyond the imposed definitions of "bad woman" and "good woman," beyond the categories of prostitute and wife. This is equivalent to assuming the role of witch and madwoman. Though this might be suicidal if attempted in isolation (not less self-destructive, however, than attempting to live within the accepted categories,) when done in sisterhood it amounts to collective repudiation of the scapegoat syndrome. It is then tantamount to a declaration of identity beyond the good and evil of patriarchy's world, and beyond sanity and insanity.

- For women attempting to express new consciousness do live in conflict with the mechanisms of social control, which include ridicule, insults, instant psychoanalyses, expressed in such comments as "penis-eveny," "man hater," or "unfeminine."

I Can't Take It Sue!

I can't take it!

O.K. I don't know how many of you know long time news anchor Sue Simmons but I grew up watching her. She's something of a legend.

There is also rumor she is a lesbian.

ANYWAY!

So! She dropped the F-Bomb live on broadcast yesterday. The screen went blank for a 8 seconds (lol) then she came back and apologized.

Apparently she was talking about rising grocery prices when footage switched to a cruise ship that had a passenger go overboard. She quipped "What the Fuck are you doing?"

So I went to look for the vid to post for you guys and I found another vid of her which is much funnier!

Who knew she was such a rebel?

When I do watch local news it's usually NY1 or Chan 5 w/ Rosanna Scotto ... because Rosanna Scotto IS NY. There is no doubt in my mind that she curses like a sailor and would punch a man in the face.

Coming from Sue though?

Priceless.

YouTube has been pulling these video's down all day. There's only a few left, here they are ... for the moment ...

This next one is great ... worth the wait ...

Bible Dipping vs. Sabbath Dipping

Bible dipping is when you ask a question, then close your eyes and open it up to any random page, you put your finger somewhere on the page, open your eyes and whatever phrase you land on is supposed to have something to do with your question. I've played this game as a child. It's very tempting to cheat ... like you rationalize and try to make it out to be the answer you want. You're supposed to play with other people present so they can keep you in check, until you relent and realize that no matter what answer you've all come up with, it means ... you're gonna burn.

Thank goodness it was the 70's and my aunt was mildly influenced by the popular American wave of feminism and shared a few crumbs of sanity with me. Mom always made ugly faces at the television when the devil women were on the news and spat invectives at them. I haven't asked ... but I'm sure she's quite content that feminism is now like one of Sigfried & Roy's white tigers in a cage on Zoloft, awaiting an unlikely, yet possible psychotic break.

So yeah, I play a similar game to bible dipping. Only now, I use Black Sabbath lyrics. I'm being facetious but I'm telling you, for any of life's events I can find a Sabbath song that will answer and console. The magic of Sabbath dipping is ... it comes to me, I don't have to pick up a book or anything! Like when I read about the 4,000 soldiers last week I involuntarily thought, "War Pigs." 70's British heavy metal, imagine that.

... You don't see what's happening to women in the sexist military at the mercy of male soldier's and superiors though. CNN is more like the E channel these days ... Anderson Cooper's desperation to be famous is getting a little painful to watch. I heard he goes home at night and draws all over his face in red lipstick and sings, "I Wanna Be In Pictures." True story. A lot of what is happening to these young women is far worse than death, still I suppose I can summon up enough empathy for the soldiers to desire them to be spared death, even if a good majority of them need a bat to their knees.

And while 80% of the population probably finds Sabbath hideous, the eerie sound quality is positively the other half of the storytelling. Those pagans knew what they were saying I tell you.

Mariah Is Nekkid?

It's 9am, I have VH1 on by accident. I see Mariah, so I leave it on as I go about my business.

I'm a Mariah fan because she's a diva, her music is kinda irrelevant, pop medical waste, but you know whatever.

So but I'm wondering ..... at this stage of the game, does she still need to make video's with her tits and ass hanging out all over the place?

Is this necessary?

No, I'm asking ... cause maybe it is.

I mean, nice shape and she looks great and all ...

but how about a little RESSSSSSSSSSPECT!

I wonder if Justin will be wearing hot shorts when he's 35, teasing viewers with imagery of his scrotum. Sure I'd throw up, but if Mariah, who is a legitimately talented vocalist, is forced into reducing herself to looking like a street walker for a computer guy in her video's at 35! then I feel Justin should have to wear a scrotum bra ... you know, to make them look perky. I'll be the first one screaming, "Woohooo!" and taking short breaks to hork into my barf bag.

Feb 23 SNL Opener and Some Afterthoughts

If anyone got to see this whole clip it was hilarious. The beginning was the funniest part though. SNL demanded Youtube take it down for copyright :/

And thanks to Gregory for forwarding it and the lovely email stating, "Please, we don't need anymore sausage in the white house."

Side note:

I was a lot more motivated by this election before the debates. I've since become a bit disenchanted.

I've shared the sentiment of anger with fellow feminists at women for not supporting Hillary. Yet I understand she is a very complicated person. By the way she's been talking, it sounds like she's ripe and ready to step into office and start dropping bombs all over the Balkans circa 1999. I have some personal sympathies regarding that issue and I hate war. As it turns out the other porker face has the same plans. So I will complain and moan and groan but yeah, I'm voting for her. I'm not in a fantasy world. I follow what these nimrods are doing and I question everything. I don't think she's Jesus and I don't masturbate thinking about her. I just think she's more qualified for the job even though I have mixed feelings about her.

And the way the two of them bicker gives me anxiety attacks.

I Hate Them Both

"How fortunate for rulers that men don't think" ~Adolph Hitler

So yeah, these debates ... wow. Poor Hillary can't debate her way out of a paper bag. Not even if her sanity depended on it, and the way she's blubbering all the time you'd think it did. This last one in Texas, how she turned to Obama Din Dada all emotional saying, "I'm so honored, I'm sooo honored to be here with Obama" The way she worked herself up being sooo "honored" and all, I thought she was going to blow him.

Cause you know women just love Obama. It's like he's Elvis. I'm surprised the women at his speeches don't rip off their tops and throw their bras on stage when he comes on. Even lesbians want him. Why vote for the closet lezzy when there's some slick man meat up there! I'm not surprised. Men will always get there first and win against any qualified woman regardless of age, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation or anything, because women will ALWAYS aid in thwarting their gender and clawing eachother's eyes out. I wonder if Obama supporters would want the same "fresh, new, inexperience" in a heart surgeon. Who cares about his radical Islamic father and grandfather? Or his Atheist mother (God forbid it was Hillaries Mother). Or the philosophy of the head ministers of the Jesus United or Unitarian or whatever church he joined. Why ask why? And I'm telling you right now, I will not have one good nights sleep until SOMEONE tells me why his mother's name is Stanley!

Billary talked a little about her ass-backwards horrifying plans for Kosovo. Remember the war on Serbia back in the 90's? I do. Yeah, the 90's were some good financial times while bombs fell on Serbian civilians, civilian structures, old age homes, hospitals, schools, factories, churches, bridges, railroads, TV and radio stations, electricity and water supplies, and military bases.

This administration will not be happy until every region on the planet is in flames. Billary was the beginning of the war on Serbia and is backing this administration's tyrannies yet again. She's a half cocked war pig like the rest of them, and Obama is a war starved ball of testosterone. Yeah I'll still vote for Billary but I may turn around and not vote for either of these c*nts.

Final note: Kosovo is rich, RICH in mineral resources. Europeans and Americans steal. The End.

My Letter to the Borough President

"Hi,

I take my money to Westchester and shop there to avoid the vulture-like meter attendants locally.

Thanks,
Sandi T."

Sunny and 52 in January, nice treat. Thinking of going out and doing some much needed shopping. I'll drive to Westchester and spend all of my millions there, as to avoid the vulture-like meter attendants locally. Smart borough president we have, thought he should know how brilliant he was.

Just paid another $125. parking ticket. It was $115. and supposed to be in a "hearing" but they instead decided it was "past due." Nice scam they have going on NYC motorists. Meter maids should all choke, but what am I going to do, take the train all the time and huff the straights B.O.? J/K J/K no I'm not, yes I am, no, yes, no ...

If you're interested in shirts come check out the apparel shop:

I'll be adding new fun merchandise at some point.

In the meantime, I touch myself to Jimmy Justice videos.

Sober Thoughts (Warning: Not for the funny seeker)

When writing a check to the American Cancer Society we hardly imagine where the money is really going ... straight into some fat cats pocket, affording them a nice comfy jet to take them on exotic vacations.

Cancer isn't just a medical issue. It's embroiled in politics, religion, economic issues, and endless beurocracy. The people affected have lost not only their hair, and firmness, but their earning ability. They often end up living in poverty, exacerbating their suffering. Coping physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially, with family, friends, dailyness, quality of life ... cancer's insidious destructiveness is without end. It attacks the spirit first, then everything else.

Close to 200,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year, in the U.S. alone. That is nearly double the amount of new HIV cases. Double! About 23,000 will be diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. Close to 21,000 people will be diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, 15,000 of them will be women.

Women should be twice as terrified as anyone is of contracting HIV. The risks are a alarmingly higher.

Why don't we have a moment of silence at the beginning of the gay parade for all of the lesbians living with, and who have died from cancer right after the HIV moment, is a question I ask with some resentment. "Women" means Lesbians too.

The thing about cancer is ... it's always, the neighbors mom, or your very old uncle, or someone else's friend who get's it. And of course it's tragic, and you feel terrible for them ... but ... it's never You. They just happen to be really unlucky people that you feel really bad for. Not really. Those bald, weak, women had a life just as fun filled as anyone's.
She's one of them: http://www.myspace.com/_lucyfur_

If you do ever feel the urge to get involved there is an amazing organization I'd like to make you guys aware of: http://www.mautnerproject.org/home

I know some of us run "from" this type of thing, and some of us run "to" ... for those of you who are interested. Give them a look up, and if you care to, spread the word, consider it your good deed for the day.

Drinking, smoking, and obesity are just a few things you can moderate to lower your risks. Exercise reduces inflammation everywhere in the body, it's a good start and can only help. There isn't any solid solution unfortunately, and these know nothing know it all doctors, aren't going to give you any answers either.

And get your mammo's. Your baseline mammogram is supposed to happen when you are 30. It should be younger. The follow up is at 35, and then every year after you turn 40. You should demand a sonogram as well, it is well known that mammo's are an incomplete and inferior method of detecting anything.

And everyone says it, but early detection is key. Look how good Kylie looks! What a fox!

Best wishes of health, happiness, and peace in 08.

Murdered for Yelling (Surveillance video)

So I just watched this video, and it's amazing to me because I'm seeing one thing, and the guy narrating is saying something completely different. He's exaggerating Carol Anne Gotbaum's behavior, and underplaying the insanity I'm seeing before my eyes. I love how he says, "They had no alternative."
..... but to what? Trample her? Put their knees in her back? Tackle a 110lb woman to the ground?

They made up some crap about her saying she doesn't like Americans?

Huh?

She's from the upper West Side in New York City and her husband is the son of city labor leader Victor Gotbaum, and the stepson of his wife, Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum, who might be running for mayor here in 2009. These are well known and respected people.

So the betch was having a fit. What the fuck ever! Airlines can, and do, sell your ticket if you're late, which should be illegal. That's gambling!

The video skips while she's on the ground.

They never released the brain, heart or neck to the coroner that the family hired.

They choked this betch to death in that cell, be sure of that.
